I have the opportunity to reach people in all walks of life, I am excited about changing the culture of how young men dress, and getting young men more interested in wearing formal menswear. I stress the importance of dressing for the success you hope to achieve. My brand is different than my competitors because I target younger demographic and my provide custom fitted suits that your average person can afford. Not only do I provide suits for individuals, groomsmen, and any other formal events but I also pair the suits with shoes and accessories for my clients.
I am actively working for high schools around Grand Rapids and Detroit to educate people about men’s fashion and the importance appearance can have in the way you’re perceived professionally.
Some challenges my business is currently facing are being able to effectively market my brand, attracting investors to ease some of the financial restraints and the heavy work load that comes with being the sole owner in my business.
Young men, employers, and eduxational institutions all over Michigan continue to benefit from my idea. I am changing the way young men carry themselves and giving them the education and confidence to be successful regardless of the stage they are in their career. This helps create more job opportunities and helps motivate my clients to achieve their individual goals. Perception is reality and when others view you as being responsible your possibilities increase.
What I Will Do With $5,000
The grant will go toward various aspects of my business. I would invest $3500 into my retail space and renovations. I would invest $800 into running social media ads on Facebook and Instagram and launch my website where customers will be able to order and view merchandise. Finally, $700 will be invested into my inventory. I would order more bespoke product, shoes, and accessories from my current supplier.
