This would benefit the environment by using plastics made from corn or other materials where they could break down within a year and become food for any marine animals.
The impacts on the environment would be major, i am an avid snorkeler and fisherman and finding baits in the water still drives me nuts. Sometimes it’s caused by getting stuck on rocks but some people just throw rubber worms in the water when they’re done with them. Making lures that could become food would make it a lot easier on the environment.
What I Will Do With $5,000
I’d use the $5,000 to figure out the exact materials that would work the best in being strong enough for fishermen to use the long term but also so they don’t have the poor effects on the water they get stuck in.
