About Idea

The makeup industry is oversaturated, but still there is a lack of minority representation, specifically the Latinx community.  Aside from catering to that population, there is also a lack of ownership of cosmetics brands by the Latinx community. We want to share our passion for makeup by showing others that look like us that they can do it too. At the same time, we also want to build a community to share about confidence and self-love. Makeup has a different meaning to every person and connects to self-confidence.

We share with our community how makeup can be used as a tool to highlight their personal attributes instead of hiding them because some may consider them flaws but we consider them beauty marks.

Ella’s Eve Cosmetics will benefit women who struggle with insecurities and lack of representation in the cosmetic industry.

What I Will Do With $5,000

The grant will be used for the product development of a nude collection for women of color.
