Meet the GreenSert, the world’s first pocket-sized cup.

Our group at Tech New Logica wanted to create a cup that is both healthy for our environment and is easily portable, which is what the GreenSert proudly holds.

Competing cups are unable to offer both these perks. That is, paper/plastic cups are not environmentally safe, while glasses/mugs/tumblers are inconvenient to carry around. With a cup that is both convenient and green, the GreenSert is purely innovative!

With it’s FDA grade silicone properties, the GreenSert is flexible, portable, lightweight, recyclable, plastic free, nontoxic, microwavable, dishwasher safe—there are many perks from the GreenSert that are more beneficial compared to standard cups!

The GreenSert is also designed to match any typical lid via easily morphing the cup’s radius by simply placing it inside a matching cup. Great for any beverage, perfect for coffee lovers!

We believe the GreenSert is a perfect implementation of convenience and green living.

Paper cups cause major problems, to the environment and towards our health:
-58 billion produced each year, yet are not recycled due to their polyethylene coating
-33 billion kilograms of CO2 released
-20 million trees and 12 billion gallons of water used annually for manufacturing
-Polyethylene leaches carcinogens into drinks, leading to cancer

With GreenSert, there will be an impact. For example, we estimate a change from 33 billion kg of CO2 released by paper cups to 1 billion kg released.

What I Will Do With $5,000

Our set back has not been the design of the product, but the manufacturing of the product. We need a silicone mold that can be used to produce GreenSert cups. We also highly prefer to have a manufacturing facility inside of the US. With this $5,000 reward, our idea for producing the GreenSert will come close to a reality.

The $5,000 will go into our pilot run and into marketing. The pilot run includes production of GreenSert cups.
