It’s a modern take on something that hasn’t changed in it’s delivery method in decades, the business card. It combines what a lot of business card apps and contact management databases already do then kicks it up a notch by including a video element that personalizes the card and gives another touch point to the sales person. All it needs is the visibility and traction in the marketplace. I have to create a presence online as well as locally with large organizations and that will take time.

The benefits are tremendous to organizations that have a lot of people who need to give a personal touch to their clientele. MyUnoCard allows that by having the video element, so there’s a face and a voice attached to a typically faceless card. Not only that, but it is a weblink, not an app and that’s transferable in almost every form of communication today. It also allows that extra node of interactivity by having all of the information on the card clickable so people can easily communicate.

What I Will Do With $5,000

There are four ways in which the money will be divided:
1. Researching and going after a patent.
2. Business Development
3. Online Marketing
4. Trade Shows.

About Paul Schmidt

I'm a Michigan native, grew up in Petoskey, went to Western Michigan University and then my life went into light speed. After spending a few years in government television in the Detroit area and at a non-profit in Seattle, I decided to go out on my own. I have been independent ever since. I currently still own my company, UnoDeuce Multimedia, which I started on Sept. 11, 2001 (there's a story). I live in Lansing, MI with my wife, son and dog. I love the arts, movies and community development.
