The 5 by 5 asks that we submit an idea that is impactful, innovative, and beneficial to our community. The SUTSO App excels in all three aspects. The SUTSO App is the only entity, group, or platform that dedicates its purpose to educating social media enthusiasts of the negative effects which can stem from social media dependency, while also striving to be a revolutionary platform, that allows local (smaller) businesses a globally recognized platform that solely advertise one business, per city, per location!

Impact

The SUTSO App is the only revolutionary global group, entity, or platform which solely dedicates its purpose to educating social media enthusiasts of the unaware negative effects which can stem from excessive social media dependency. The SUTSO App simultaneously provides conveniently information and advertising, to one specific local businesses per city on a large global platform!

What I Will Do With $5,000

The music which is played throughout the SUTSO YouTube short-film, is owned by Universal Music Corporation, and performed by a globally recognized and popular artist, known and Miguel. Universal Music Corporation and Miguel have both agreed in terms, to grant SUTSO, the rights of the music rights to be uploaded on YouTube for one calendar year, at a cost of $5,000. I would use the $5,000 winnings from this competition to cover that cost.

About Lexington Settles

I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. I came to Grand Rapids immediately after high school to attend and graduate from Grand Valley State University and I have lived here ever since. I created the SUTSO Brand in June of 2014 and have dedicated all of my focus, funds, and energy into making SUTSO successful. Every single day, I imagine a world where SUTSO is a recognized, respected, and appreciated platform which educates social media enthusiasts to "use social media responsibly!"
