About Idea

What is Hawaiian BBQ you ask? Our plates consist of a choice of Huli Huli chicken which is a marinated chicken thigh slapped on a grill or Kalua pork which is a slow roasted Hawaiian style pulled pork and it comes with a side of Mac salad and vegetable fried rice. You can also get either of those meats as a sandwich and the chicken comes with melted Swiss and charred pineapple pico and Sriacha aioli and the pork comes with our house made Hawaiian bbq sauce and citrus slaw and both come on a toasted Hawaiian bun. We have been told our bbq sauce is the best! Ask us for a bottle! In addition to the sandwiches we also have smash burgers that are to die for. But please don’t die because we want you to come back! We also have ahi tuna poké bowls. We get our ahi tuna shipped fresh overnight straight from Hawaii. You can’t beat that. We try to keep our prices fair and portions fat so you won’t go home hungry or broke. We will have a lot more menu items once we get a food trailer!

We believe that food is a universal language that everyone is fluent in. Food brings people together and does not discriminate. We plan to bring the island vibes of aloha and ohana to the west coast of Michigan through food. We have a program that we will implement on our food truck that is “plate it forward” we’re you can buy an extra plate for someone who is in need. We love to be apart of the community in anyway we can and want you to be apart of our ohana!

What I Will Do With $5,000

We plan to put the $5,000 towards a mobile food trailer. We have been serving food under a pop up tent and winter is just around the corner! So help us keep the tiki boiz warm and keep your belly’s full!
