The most exciting part of being the creator and founder of a hand-made leather jewelry company is that it’s ever changing to adaptive environments.  There are constantly new trends emerging to get on top of and new products to be launched. Yes, the leather jewelry industry can be competitive, but it only pushes my creativity further to break molds and distinguish my own brand from others.

There are 4 groups of people who benefit from TLD. First, the customers benefit by investing in long-lasting staple jewelry pieces. Second, the retailers who I work with benefit by expanding their store inventory and increasing revenue. Third, other local business owners can be impacted by my company, and I from them, by learning information from each other in instances like my women’s small business group. Lastly, I personally benefit from my company by being able to do what I love everyday.

What I Will Do With $5,000

If given the opportunity to win $5,000, part of the prize money will allow us to purchase additional production equipment. This grant would also push us closer to our goal of moving our production space from in home, to a warehouse. Both of these aspects would allow us to produce our handmade jewelry quickly and more efficiently.

About Tracy Marsiglia

My name is Tracy Marsiglia, I am a native to Grand Rapid, and Hairstylist by trade at Design 1 Salon spa. I am Married to my husband Jerry, and live with our four little fur babies. After being inspired by Joanna Gaines leather jewelry on the show fixer upper, I decided to use my creative personality to start a jewelry company of my own! I brought my first pair of earrings into the salon, and the other stylists LOVED them. Now two years later, Tracy Lynn Designs has grown into what it is today
