Unlabeled is for everyone – from seasoned home brewers to those who enjoy a good beer every now and then.
To play Unlabeled, each player brings one or two beers to the table. You can also play at your favorite beer bar, just ask for a random flight of beer with the names hidden.
The game is played one round at a time. Each round, one player serves a small portion of their “unlabeled” beer. Other players taste the beer, evaluate the game board, and attempt to identify the characteristics, beer style, or specific type. Think you know the exact beer? You can throw your piece in the middle and state the brewery and beer name for max points!
Different from any beer game in the market, this is an exciting new way to drink beer!
As the game design is nearly finalized, my biggest road block ahead is building a following before launching a crowd funding campaign. The goal is to fully fund my first order from the manufacturer on pre-order sales. It is time for this idea to enter the market!
German Helles? American Lager? Porter or Stout?
Beer drinkers will find new enjoyment in discovering different styles of beer while sharing beers and learning from each other.
The game can be played with any number of people. Bars and restaurants will have the opportunity to host “Unlabeled Night”. You and your friends will face off against the rest of the bar to see who can score the most points!
We offer alternative styles of play that will help students of beer pass the cicerone exam.
What I Will Do With $5,000
The $5,000 grant would be used towards my goal of fully funding my first order of games.
Manufacturing minimum order of 1500 units
750 units ($18,750) in pre-order sales / crowd funding required to break-even on first order (remaining 750 units would be paid for at this point)
The $5000 grant would reduce this requirement to 450 units ($11,250) pre-sold / crowd funded units to reach break-even on first order (remaining 1050 units would be paid for at this point)
