Impact
Businesses often rely on surveys, QR codes, or online forms to gather feedback, but these methods suffer from low participation and bias. My idea provides a physical, on-site machine that invites customers to respond instantly—making participation much higher and the data more representative.
Impact areas include:
Retail & Restaurants → More accurate understanding of customer satisfaction and preferences.
Events & Organizations → Transparent, fast internal decision-making.
Education & Training → Quick polling in classrooms or workshops.
By offering a dedicated hardware solution, the project creates trust (no tracking, anonymous), speed (one-touch voting), and convenience (no phone/app needed).
Long-term, this could improve customer loyalty, help businesses adapt faster, and make feedback as simple as pressing a button before leaving a store.
Since I have the technical expertise to design and develop the devices myself, I can also create customized versions if larger quantities are requested. This increases the chances of long-term market success after the first production run.
What I'll do with $5,000
The $5,000 will be used as smart traction funding to move from prototype to a pilot-ready product. Specifically:
1) Hardware & Components ($2,500): Purchase of touchscreens, microcontrollers, enclosures, and secure storage modules to build 3–5 working devices.
2) Software & Interface ($1,000): Develop an easy interface for shops to customize questions and record results.
3) Testing & Pilot Deployment ($1,000): Partner with 1–2 local shops/restaurants to test the machine, gather real-world feedback, and refine usability.
4) Manufacturing Prep & Materials ($500): Initial design improvements, assembly tools, and packaging for pilot units.
This funding allows me to deliver a first production quantity. After successful sales and validation, I will use my technical skills to offer customized versions tailored to customer needs. This adaptability strengthens market entry and ensures higher chances of success beyond the first units.
