Impact
The program was born out of a need to create a safe, inclusive space where women can address their mental health while building sustainable fitness habits. Many of our clients struggle with stress, anxiety, body image issues, or burnout, and traditional fitness programs don’t address these underlying barriers. Mind + Motion changes that narrative by pairing evidence-based therapy techniques with mindful movement and accessible nutrition guidance, helping participants create lasting lifestyle changes instead of quick fixes.
Each member receives weekly group fitness sessions, mindset coaching led by licensed therapists, and personalized nutrition support from wellness professionals. Through this model, participants learn how to regulate emotions, build self-trust, and connect with their bodies in empowering ways. The results go beyond physical transformation; members will report improved confidence, reduced stress, better sleep, and a renewed sense of community and belonging.
Our impact extends beyond the studio walls. Mind+Motion equips women with the tools to thrive in daily life, leading to stronger families, workplaces, and communities. By integrating therapy and fitness, we’re redefining wellness access in West Michigan, making mental health more approachable, movement more joyful, and whole-person healing more achievable.
What I'll do with $5,000
If awarded the $5,000 from StartGarden, Inner Fitness Counseling & Wellness will use the funds to expand the reach and impact of our new Mind Motion Membership. This 12-week integrative program combines therapy, fitness, and nutrition to help women strengthen both mind and body. The funding will specifically support marketing initiatives that are critical to attracting and enrolling our first 10 participants for the program launch in December.
A portion of the funds will be invested in Google Ads and targeted digital marketing campaigns designed to reach women in West Michigan seeking mental health and wellness support. We will also use funds to update our website, ensuring that information about the Mind + Motion Membership is clear, inviting, and optimized for conversion—helping potential clients easily understand the program and register online.
Additional funds will support printing updated flyers, rack cards, and branded marketing materials to distribute in the community and at local vending and networking events. These in-person events are crucial for fostering personal connections and trust—especially in the wellness space, where relationships play a key role in driving engagement.
In short, this $5,000 grant will directly fuel visibility, client acquisition, and sustainability for a program designed to help women move better, feel stronger, and live healthier lives inside and out.
