The Food Access Accelerator

The Food Access Accelerator is a Platform designed to ensure everyone has the dignity of a hot meal. WHat we have done is combine over 100 years of policy efforts to provide a one stop shop to enable states to literally feed themselves. How? A 3 piller Software as a Service. Pillar one ( A Free resource) to communities facing hunger, AKA Food desert areas of the state. We enable the most vunerable members of the community to access real hot food at local retailers like Mcdonalds, subway and Little ceasers. (This is done through Mapping software similiar to Google maps but is designed to identfy restuarants that are able to accept FOOD STAMPS. The second pillar, our revenue generator is a online education portal for Hot food retailers wanting to accept EBT food stamps. A huge asset to small bussiness as well as EBT recipients, and the third pillar is DATA collection on Food systems metrics like Meals served, Federal invest into respective communities. All free to pillars 1 and 3 and able to be sustained based on Case study of previously implementing states.

About this idea
We literally have create a education system to enable restuarants to tap into the 23 million a year of federal food stamp dollars selling their Hot Food. Our portal provide pre application tutorials to ensure easy application to participate in the government program, then for a small subscription cost they are able to ensure that their business as a whole stays compliant. This opt-in subscription may also come with subsidized POS upgrades to ensure respective County food security. Case studies estimate a 10K net profit for participating retailers and a portion of this is paid to us to maintain compliance.
Impact
By creating a Network of restuarants within the platform and a network of food security non profits we are able to leverage ourselves as a state Utility to secure food access to its vunerable populations.
What I'll do with $5,000
We would use these funds to desgn the education portal, filming educational videos and installing small upload options to enhance the usability of the platform for recipients, retailers, and local officals.
