Impact
Our solution is the first preventative product in the industry designed to eliminate cable strain at the power inlet—a common but often overlooked cause of serious electrical issues. Strain on power cables leads to worn, loose connections that generate heat, increasing the risk of meltdowns, shorts, and equipment damage. In severe cases, these failures can spark fires, resulting in thousands of dollars in losses for owners and insurers—and potentially endangering lives.
Strain Guard addresses this risk head-on, offering peace of mind, reduced repair costs, and improved safety for RV, EV, and marine craft owners.
Beyond product impact, we’re committed to social responsibility. As a disabled veteran and woman-owned business, we prioritize hiring individuals with disabilities, creating opportunities for meaningful, self-sustaining employment. We believe everyone deserves the chance to contribute and thrive—and we’re building a company that reflects those values.
What I'll do with $5,000
The $5,000 grant will enable us to reach critical milestones in our product development and IP protection strategy:
$1,800 will be used to finalize the part design for injection molding, ensuring our product is optimized for scalable manufacturing.
$1,100 will fund the creation of 3D-printed masters, which are essential for producing high-quality molds.
$2,100 will be set aside for intellectual property legal fees, allowing us to finalize our patent application and respond to any required changes from the USPTO.
Securing the masters brings us significantly closer to full-scale production, while the legal allocation ensures we’re prepared to protect our innovation and respond promptly to any patent office feedback. These steps are foundational to launching a durable, market-ready product and securing our competitive edge.
