The XKBE Experience is a new and unforgettable beauty experience that allows women to enjoy something truly out of the ordinary. This immersive experience invites guests to create their very own custom lip gloss by XKBE while enjoying a beautifully curated ambiance, good music, and complimentary wine or age-appropriate beverages. During the experience, guests select from a variety of premium ingredients, including exotic oils, pigments, glitters, flavors, and scents. This hands-on experience allows each participant to fully customize their gloss — from choosing ingredients to determining measurements, texture, and consistency. Once their unique creation is complete, guests put the finishing touch on their gloss by naming it, making the experience even more personal and memorable. All supplies needed to enjoy The XKBE Experience are provided, allowing guests to relax, create, and connect without worry. This experience is perfect for birthdays, birthday parties, girls’ nights out, bridal showers, Galentine’s events, company gatherings, self-love dates, mommy-and-me outings, and more.

The XKBE Experience is designed to become a staple in the heart of Grand Rapids, Michigan, serving as more than just a beauty destination. It is a community-centered space where women gather, celebrate themselves, and build meaningful connections through creativity, self-care, and shared experiences.
What I'll do with $5,000
If awarded the $5,000 grant, funds will be strategically allocated across five key categories to support growth, sustainability, and community impact. Inventory & Production Supplies – $1,600 Funds will be used to purchase essential ingredients and supplies, including natural oils, pigments, scents, flavors, production tools, and sanitization and safety materials. This investment ensures consistent product quality and supports both retail sales and experiential bookings. XKBE Experience Setup & Equipment – $1,200 Funds will be invested in an engraving machine to elevate The XKBE Experience by allowing guests to fully customize their lip gloss tubes with personalized names. Additional funds will be used to purchase movable storage bins to support off-site and mobile bookings. Branding, Marketing & Visibility – $900 This portion of the grant will support website enhancements, including the addition of a booking section to our existing website, as well as printed marketing materials such as flyers, signage, and business cards to increase brand visibility and customer engagement. Licensing, Insurance & Legal Compliance – $600 Funds will be used to secure liability insurance to protect the business and ensure safe, compliant operations for both in-store and off-site experiences. Community Engagement & Givebacks – $400 XKBE will plan/host a community pop-up shop at a discounted rate, providing accessible self-care experiences while strengthening community relationships and brand presence in Grand Rapids.
