Impact
Homestream’s impact is transforming who can confidently participate in real estate ownership—and how quickly and responsibly investment properties can be acquired. Today, millions of retail investors, agents, and small operators make six-figure decisions using fragmented tools: listing sites, spreadsheets, manual comps, rough rehab estimates, and scattered public records. That slow, error-prone workflow creates missed opportunities, bad purchases, and unnecessary risk, especially for first-time investors and those without insider networks.
Homestream changes that by turning an address into an investor-ready decision system in minutes: comps, ARV, rent assumptions, rehab modeling, financing scenarios, projected cash flow, and a shareable deal packet that aligns lenders, partners, and teams. As adoption grows, Homestream becomes the backbone of the investment property transaction—the standardized underwriting layer that sits between discovery and closing. Instead of each investor reinventing due diligence, everyone works from a trusted, explainable analysis that’s fast, editable, and built for real funding stacks.
The result is a step-change in transaction efficiency and accessibility: investors identify viable deals faster, lenders receive cleaner packages, agents close with less friction, and communities benefit from more informed, responsible capital. By standardizing the decision process and connecting the ecosystem around a single source of truth, Homestream will transform the way investors acquire real estate investment properties—making ownership more attainable and the transaction itself more efficient, transparent, and scalable.
What I'll do with $5,000
We will deploy the $5,000 grant to directly accelerate product reliability, user growth, and a small Detroit-based pilot that demonstrates measurable impact.
First, we’ll invest in product and data infrastructure to improve the accuracy and speed of Homestream’s underwriting reports. High-quality property, tax, and market data is expensive, and this funding will help us expand coverage, reduce errors, and strengthen core features like comps, rent assumptions, and rehab modeling.
Second, we’ll fund customer acquisition and onboarding to grow our active user base in Detroit and Michigan. This includes targeted outreach to local investor communities and agents, plus hands-on onboarding so new users can successfully analyze deals and share lender-ready “deal packets.”
Third, we’ll support pilot implementation with a local partner (city-aligned organization, neighborhood group, or housing stakeholder). The pilot will provide structured access to Homestream for a small cohort, paired with training and lightweight reporting so we can track outcomes like time saved, improved decision confidence, deals analyzed, and progress toward responsible ownership or rehab projects.
