Impact
Nearly two-thirds of people living with Alzheimer’s are women. Today, about 7 million Americans are affected by the disease, and that number is projected to double by 2050. By targeting at-risk populations, we can enable earlier intervention—giving patients greater autonomy, providing caregivers and families peace of mind, and generating valuable data for researchers. At the same time, drawing is a fun, mentally stimulating activity that encourages daily engagement.
What I'll do with $5,000
This $5,000 grant will help us accelerate the development of our software and AI algorithm as we incorporate feedback from clinicians, caregivers, and individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease. Because our time with our incubator is limited, a portion of the funding will allow us to hire an additional software developer to continue refining the platform and advancing our AI model. The grant will also support improvements to our data security and storage infrastructure to ensure sensitive cognitive health data is protected and scalable. Finally, the funding will allow us to purchase additional tablets for beta testing, enabling more standardized testing across users and environments.
