About this idea
BRCĒ is rapidly growing student-startup out of Michigan State, developing an ecosystem of high-performance accessories using proprietary composite materials & hybrid fabrics, for performance advantage, better safety and recovery of athletes, kids, first-responders & the everyday person. BRCĒ has invented the World's First & Only SHOELACES THAT NEVER COME UNTIED™ & the World's First FDA-track high-performing ankle braces, guaranteed to prevent unto 85% of all ankle injuries (the most common injury due to activity). The proprietary composites and hybrid fabric are 8x stronger than steel, remarkably lightweight & fire-resistant, making them suitable for various industrial use cases. Our partnerships range from Techstars, Stanley Black & Decker DeWALT (the largest industrial manufacturer in the world) to Enda Athletic, Inc. (the largest African footwear manufacturer & sponsor of 4 Olympics delegations). BRCĒ is also currently exploring partnerships and licensing agreements with the Department of Defense, US Military & Under Armour, because of the versatile and hardcore capabilities of BRCĒ's technology.
Impact
There are more than 580,000+ athletic injuries within the United States, and over 200,000+ industrial injuries nationally, just because of equipment deficiency and lack of proper performance gear. More than 30,000+ kids get injured due to trips and falls because of loose footwear and untied laces every year in the US. BRCĒ is using material-tech to create utility-based products designed with feedback and testing from industry-leading PhD's in kinesiology, validation through 50+ NCAA champion athletes, NFL players and through unbiased third-party testing. Using BRCĒ laces, athletes have experienced minimum distractions during gameplay, never had to take break and retie their footwear and felt more comfortable and stable inside footwear as BRCĒ laces act like an exoskeleton on the feet, keeping the shoes and feet intact. Using patented hybrid fabric and industrial composites, BRCĒ is developing industrial-grade laces, engineered fastenings and cables for construction use, within existing industrial gear made by DeWALT (industry-leader) and exploring partnership opportunities with Joe Gibbs (Racing) Human Performance Institute for NASCAR teams' pit crew support and gear. BRCĒ is set to revolutionize the athletic and industrial gear industry.
