About this idea
We are creating an environment to simplify socialization, combatting the current effects of social media on loneliness, depression, and social anxiety. Hiver is designed to put the power back in the users hands, and by streamlining the process of sending private invitations for events/parties (Hives), and easily accessing key event details for all upcoming Hives that of interest. We launched Hiver to connect users and their connections (friends) to all the fun social events that they've attended, and what they will attend to give individuals the confidence to get out and live life. We take the doom scroll out of the picture for Hiver by giving users the ability to filter all the posts or hives they want to see, giving them the power to control what content they consume, and eliminate the addictive strain of the current social media landscape.
Impact
Hiver is set to revolutionize the current social media landscape by providing direct access to socialization opportunities in your area, whether it be a small local business who is putting on an event, or the local bar that has a live band for the night. We want people to have direct access to the fun & exciting things to do in their area. We believe in the power of community, and we envision a future where Hiver is the tool to drive the authentic joys of life. Real People - Real Connection - Real Life
What I'll do with $5,000
The grant will be used to access top developer talent, and for our key marketing strategies to achieve our goal of network effect. $3,000 - Student Developers (paid internships) $2,000 - Marketing Ambassador Program
Quick Bio
Hiver started as an idea for college underclassman to find out what they could do on campus, and in the area. Just two freshman in a dorm that were staring into the abyss of nothingness that suddenly sparked their curiosity in solving a problem for future generations of college freshman. The Founder, Grant Koops is passionate about people and loves to see people do what they love, and excel at it. Hiver is his way of offering the little joys of life in socialization to as many people as possible so they can live life to its fullest.
