About this idea
Curious_Department is a design-forward web and print media concept consisting of creative professionals eager to learn more about what’s being made, how it’s manufactured, who’s crafting it, why it’s significant, where it’s headed, and its journey to get there. We’re taking our cameras into the factories and buildings we pass every day, going behind the scenes of commercial industries, consumer brands, creative agencies, retail shops, local restaurants, and even city infrastructure. Our curiosities will help capture the stories, systems, and diversity that make our community unique.
Impact
Curious_Department will help the local community discover and connect with the people, places, and industries around them. This fresh perspective will enable us to better collaborate with one another across the community. One of the ripple effects of this exposure will draw others in, making them want to be part of our engaged ecosystem.
What I'll do with $5,000
The funds will evolve this concept into published content. It will be used to build the website, capture stories, create content, encourage engagement, and even produce its first line of merch.
