About this idea
We have already serviced over 40 children and counting , our services are tailored for foster/adoptive families and we’ve also held two hair care clinics with a very well known foster care agency.
Impact
It’s very impactful because it gives these disadvantaged children confidence in their outward appearance, which increases their self esteem and knowledge of their culture when it comes to their hair, it also gives these parents the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to be able to care for their children
What I'll do with $5,000
The money would be used to purchase kids capes, hair supplies and products, salon equipment, take home hair kits, as well as costs for a grand opening event which would include food, beverages, information pamphlets, business cards and merchandise with the company logo
Quick Bio
Roots to Resilience was created to support foster and adoptive families with black and bi racial children who lack the knowledge of how to properly care for their hair and skin.
