About this idea
Quira is a bilingual, locally-supported website platform designed for small businesses that often get left behind by big tech. We provide affordable, custom-designed websites powered by TINA CMS and React, with built-in tools for analytics, CRM integration, and brand development. Our workshops and human-centered onboarding process ensure even the least tech-savvy entrepreneur can confidently grow their business online. We’re piloting Quira with local chambers and support organizations, aiming to serve 50+ businesses in year one — all while building a scalable SaaS model that can serve other regions.
Impact
Quira empowers underserved small businesses—especially minority- and immigrant-owned—to compete in the digital economy. By combining easy-to-use tech, bilingual support, and design-first thinking, we help entrepreneurs build strong online foundations, attract more customers, and make data-driven decisions. Our platform reduces barriers to entry, strengthens local economies, and creates a pathway for long-term digital literacy and growth.
What I'll do with $5,000
With $5,000, we will launch a focused pilot cohort of four small businesses to rapidly test, validate, and improve the Quira platform. This funding will allow us to cover the direct costs of onboarding businesses, hosting bilingual design and website readiness workshops, and customizing their websites using our modular component system. Specifically, the funds will be used for: Workshop Facilitation: Hosting 2 bilingual design and content planning workshops to prepare businesses for their site build ($1,200) Client Setup & Component Configuration: Customizing 4 business sites using pre-built TINA CMS components ($2,000) Analytics & CRM Integration: Setting up Google Analytics and lead capture integration for each business ($800) Graphic Design & Brand Refinement: Supporting businesses in refining their logos and style guides to ensure their sites look professional and consistent ($600) Translation & Accessibility Features: Adding Spanish content support and accessibility compliance to ensure the platform reaches a broader audience ($400)
