VertoAI, LLC, is a healthcare AI startup dedicated to reducing healthcare disparities through innovative, AI-driven solutions. Our physician-led team of multi-disciplinary experts including doctors, lawyers, engineers, and marketing professionals are passionate about addressing healthcare inequities. When combined, our team has over 16+ total years of direct patient care experience, 12+ total years of software development experience, 10+ total years of legal practice experience, 7+ total years of AI development experience, and growing. Our flagship product, VERT (Visual Electronic Record Translator), is a third-party tool that translates electronic medical records into any user’s preferred language, features a jargon dictionary to simplify complex medical terminology, and integrates a billing code function to clarify costs for patients. We’re committed to transforming healthcare - and our progress is gaining recognition. Recently, we were honored with the Most Promising Disruptor Award at the Jake Jabs Center for Entrepreneurship’s TechUp 2025 Incubator, as voted by Denver-based colleagues and local investors.
Impact
Nine in ten patients face poor health literacy when navigating our healthcare system, and one in fourteen encounter language barriers. These barriers can delay diagnoses, hinder follow-up, and even lead to life-threatening outcomes due to unclear instructions or misinterpretations. At VertoAI, LLC, we are transforming healthcare by eliminating these barriers within electronic medical records. Our flagship tool, VERT (Visual Electronic Record Translator), enables patients to access their records in their preferred language, simplifies complex medical terminology, and clarifies billing codes and costs. What I'll do with $5,000
If awarded $5,000.00, we will strategically allocate the funds to accelerate VERT’s path from prototype to scalable product. $4,000.00 will be dedicated to research and development, including scaling our existing prototype, training and fine-tuning our language models for greater accuracy, and refining the execution of our technology to ensure seamless integration with electronic medical records systems. $1,000.00 will be allocated to initial intellectual property protection, including trademark registration and preliminary patent filing costs, to safeguard our innovation as we enter the market. This investment will directly advance VERT’s technical readiness, protect our unique solution, and bring us closer to delivering healthcare that is truly transparent and accessible.
