About this idea
Re-Route Wellness was born from my personal struggle with panic disorder. I used to keep warheads with me at all times to help distract my brain when I would feel a panic attack coming on. This is something that genuinely helped me, but I wanted to take that idea further by blending sour sensory interruption with adaptogenic herbs to create “In Its Tracks”: a natural hard and sour candy that’s clean, effective, and pocket-sized. Unlike pills, which feel clinical, or sugary snacks, which mask the problem, our product is fun, functional, and designed for Gen Z and millennials who are seeking natural, stigma-free solutions. Anxiety is one of the biggest mental health challenges today, and we’re tapping into a $10B+ stress and mental wellness market with a product that people actually want to carry with them. We’ve already built a loyal customer base with returning customers and engaged followers, and we’re preparing for large-scale production this winter. With eco-friendly packaging, a mission to give back to mental health organizations, and a community-first approach, we’re starting a movement that empowers people to reroute anxiety and to fuel their peace, not their fears.
Impact
Re-Route Wellness is tackling one of the most urgent challenges of our time: the anxiety epidemic. Over 40 million adults in the U.S. suffer from anxiety disorders, and even more live with daily stress that impacts their health, relationships, and productivity. Traditional solutions often fall short—prescription medications can carry stigma and side effects, while wellness products are often expensive, inaccessible, or inconvenient. Our impact begins by filling this critical gap with something simple, natural, and stigma-free. The impact extends beyond individual relief. Re-Route Wellness is building a community around mental health empowerment, especially for Gen Z and millennials who are demanding alternatives to traditional approaches. By positioning anxiety relief in a fun, approachable way, we help reduce stigma, spark conversations, and normalize proactive mental health care. Our impact is measured in every individual who feels less alone, more in control, and more capable of living fully.
What I'll do with $5,000
With $5,000 in funding, Re-Route Wellness will be able to transform from an early-stage startup into a polished, market-ready brand. The majority of the funds ($3,000) will go toward a professional rebrand and design kit, giving us a cohesive identity that builds consumer trust and positions our anxiety-relief candies as premium wellness products ready for retail shelves. $1,000 will be invested in a redesigned Shopify website that not only looks professional but is optimized for conversion, storytelling, and community-building—critical for scaling direct-to-consumer sales. The final $1,000 will be used to produce our first round of professionally printed, eco-friendly packaging, ensuring our product looks and feels retail-ready while aligning with our commitment to sustainability. Each investment directly increases our credibility with consumers, investors, and retailers, laying the foundation for successful partnerships, accelerated sales growth, and meaningful impact in the mental wellness market.
