Get Fit Parties

Most people love a good party. Believe it or not, there are those crazy few who love a good workout. At Team Get Fit, we have designed the perfect fusion and created “Get Fit Parties”. Our ‘Get Fit Parties’ are a series of large scale, community fitness events curated by our certified health and wellness professionals.

About this idea
We will host several fitness events throughout the year in Grand Rapid, MI, open to all people and all fitness levels. Doesn’t matter if you are young or old, we have an event that will be right up your alley. You don’t have to be a top athlete to compete, but it wouldn’t hurt if you were. The winner/winners of each event will receive a cash prize for their victory. All participants will receive a commemorative event t-shirt, as well as other small prizes. The events are: The Great Obstacle Course (2 days), Master Ballers Basketball Competitions, GFP Double Dutch Tournament, GFP Tennis Tourney, and a 1 mile kids race.
Impact
Our goal is to introduce health and wellness to the masses by engaging them with life changing, high energy, fitness experiences that are sure to be remembered. The current approach to health and wellness makes the average person feel uneasy and unsure. Causing them to back away from it all together, resulting in the continuation of poor health conditions. Our ‘Get Fit Parties’ will turn that upside down and be the start to ending those health conditions.
What I'll do with $5,000
I am the proud owner of a fitness and nutrition company called Team Get Fit LLC and have operated without support since it's inception. We only need this grant money to launch our new initiative "Get Fit Parties" that will need the following purchases-equipment for each event, marketing signs, venue, and cash prizes for the individual and family winners. We have asked several organizations to share their resources and have only received a few donations. When we win this grant we can execute our new vision without hinderance.
