Labor shortages, tariffs and inflation are huge factors quickly making warehouse automation a necessity for businesses to grow or even survive in the US. USAMR is addressing this with the first ever, domestic mobile robot Shelf-to-Person solution that blends sophistication with simplicity and robustness that the American workforce expects to boost operational efficiency in delivery of goods to the consumer. The automation solution is a shelf-to-person solution that, in essence, turns a manual warehouse into a giant vending machine for order fulfilment. It utilizes a fleet of mobile robots that are working in harmony by our software to retrieve shelfs from storage and deliver to a person. The person then performs the required post processes to ship out the door to the end customer. This saves significant amounts of time searching for orders and improves productivity and accuracy of workers fulfilling orders. USAMR mobile robot solutions are designed with the American workforce in mind - It just needs to work. We know all machines inevitably breakdown, but between our software and hardware, you don't need a German engineering degree to get it back into service in minutes!
Impact
USAMR is leveraging local, high-tech manufacturing partners to keep money and jobs here in WM. USAMR will be hiring engineers and attracting global talent to build on WM's momentum of becoming a national tech hub. For our customers, it means more interesting, dignified warehouse jobs while improving speed, traceability and efficiency in order fulfilment operations. By being a domestic supplier of entire mobile robot, shelf-to-person solutions we are establishing supply chain independence from foreign entities which the US relies upon. Being a domestic automation solution provider, we are poised and ready to revamp mission-critical supply chains supporting the Department of Defense!
What I'll do with $5,000
Building a tech demo is critical to customer acquisition, so we will use the $5,000 to buy the equipment a customer will use to actually interact and test out our technology! This includes a PC, scanner, touch screen monitor, and everything for a realistic, ergonomic workstation in a warehouse.
