Detroit’s housing crisis isn’t just about supply. It’s about coordination. When tenants, landlords, and community agencies don’t communicate clearly, housing breaks down. Calls go unanswered. Documents get lost. Subsidies get delayed. ThriveHabitat is a mobile-first coordination platform that connects everyone in one structured system. Unlike property management software that focuses on rent collection, ThriveHabitat focuses on stability. We’re building infrastructure that keeps housing from falling apart in the first place.
Impact
ThriveHabitat helps prevent avoidable displacement. By improving response times and shared visibility, we support small landlords, strengthen neighborhoods, and create more stable housing outcomes. When housing coordination improves, entire communities stabilize.
What I'll do with $5,000
The $5,000 will fund a structured Detroit pilot cohort to generate measurable traction. Specifically: • $2,500 for UI/UX refinement and core workflow automation • $1,500 to onboard 5–10 small landlords into a formal pilot • $1,000 for structured user testing sessions and performance tracking This milestone converts an internal MVP into externally validated traction with real data on response-time improvement and workflow efficiency. It is a clear, measurable step toward scale, not general operations.
