About this idea
Most mid-market manufacturers are still running their back office the same way they did 15 years ago. Someone gets an invoice, manually keys it into a legacy ERP system, cross-references it against a PO and a receiving report, and enters a voucher. Multiply that by hundreds of invoices a month and you've got entire teams buried in data entry instead of doing work that actually moves the business forward. The quoting side is the same story. Sales teams pull pricing from spreadsheets, dig through past quotes, and manually build proposals that take hours when they should take minutes. The Scalable AXS System is a suite of packaged AI agents that automate these workflows from the inside out. Our AP agents handle invoice ingestion, field extraction, 3-way matching, and voucher entry. Our quoting agents pull from historical data and pricing rules to generate accurate quotes in a fraction of the time. Every agent plugs directly into the manufacturer's existing ERP system, whether that's QAD, Plex, E21, or something else. No rip and replace. No massive IT project. We work with what they already have. We've spent over a year on plant floors across the Midwest building relationships and learning how these operations actually run. That's how we know the real pain points aren't solved by generic SaaS tools built for tech companies. Manufacturers need something built for them. That's what we're doing. We're live with 3 pilot customers today, processing real transactions, and building toward a full suite launch in April 2026, with 7 manufacturers on the waitlist for production launch.
Impact
Meet Tammy. She's an AP rep at a mid-market manufacturing shop in West Michigan. She has a college degree and is more than capable of doing strategic, meaningful work. But every day, she sits at her desk punching in invoices, matching POs to receipts, and keying vouchers into a 20-year-old ERP system. She's not growing. She's not thinking critically. She's doing the work a machine should be doing. And that takes a toll. When you spend 40 hours a week feeling like you're below your potential, that frustration doesn't stay at the office. It follows you home. It affects how you show up for your family. Tammy deserves better than that. Then there's Bill. He owns the shop. Bill started this company because he's a builder and a visionary. But right now, he's buried in the day-to-day. He's stuck working in the business instead of on it. He can't focus on growth, new markets, or long-term strategy because he's constantly pulled into operational fires that should be running themselves. And here's the bigger picture. With tariffs rising and costs getting tighter by the month, mid-market manufacturers are getting squeezed harder than anyone. This isn't a problem for the Gentexes of the world. The billion-dollar companies will be fine. It's the mom-and-pop shops with 50 to 500 employees that don't have the bandwidth or budget to make their next accounting hire or their next quoting hire. They can't grow because they're spending all their energy just trying to maintain. That's where the AXS System comes in. Instead of hiring another head, manufacturers can deploy AI agents that automate the repetitive accounting and quoting workflows their teams are drowning in. Tammy gets to do work that actually challenges her. Bill gets to step back and lead. And the business gets room to compete in an environment that's only getting harder. We're not replacing people. We're freeing them up to do what they've always wanted to do.
What I'll do with $5,000
$5,000 gets us a booth at the IOFM AP & P2P Spring Conference in Orlando this May. This is the largest accounts payable and procure-to-pay conference in the country, with over 800 senior financial decision-makers, controllers, and AP managers in one room. These are the exact people who buy what we sell. We're already live with manufacturing pilots today, so this isn't about validating an idea. It's about getting in front of our buyers at scale. If we convert just a handful of conversations into pilots, that $5,000 turns into tens of thousands in first-year revenue. At our current conversion rates, success at this conference will change the entire trajectory of our business.
