About this idea
We are the only female, black-owned primary care medical office in Muskegon Heights. We provide family medicine to individuals of all ages. We cover the full scope of primary care from preventive medicine to management of chronic diseases like diabetes, hypertension, coronary artery disease, etc., which plague this community. In addition to the traditional Western medicine approach, we incorporate proven Eastern methods using supplements and herbs, functional medicine, and osteopathic manipulation therapy. Not only do we have a focus on treating and healing disease, but we also enjoy serving our patients their health and beauty desires with facial and body aesthetics including Botox, dermal fillers, skin pen, weight management, broad band light skin rejuvenation, foot detoxification, and more. We focus on health, wellness, beauty, and self-care.
Impact
JustUs Divine Health & Wellness will provide the patients in this community with a medical service in their hometown that they can trust. Many of our citizens do not seek medical care in this community because they do not trust that they are being cared for in an honest, proper, and meaningful way. Primary care and other services and within their reach. We accept Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial insurance so there will be no unknown financial impact on our citizens who deserve to have their medical needs assessed, addressed, and attended to. Studies are clear; the more primary care providers in a community and racial and language concordance improve the medical outcomes of the community. I believe our clinic in the heart of Muskegon will achieve these goals.
What I'll do with $5,000
This grant will help to provide the funds for a specific examination table that can be used for osteopathic manipulation therapy and massage therapy which average $10,000. It will also help to supply the necessary supplies to keep it operable and sanitized like towels, sheets, medical supply sanitizers, and gloves and paper products used by providers to ensure bacterial and viral organisms are not spread.
