About this idea
2DaLoop is intelligent infrastructure for e-waste logistics, built to digitize the backend of the electronics lifecycle. Our patent-pending ICR platform (Identify–Classify–Reintegrate) ingests data from UPC scans, ERP/PLM systems, and diagnostic tools to identify electronic devices, classify components using machine learning, and recommend the optimal reintegration path—resale, refurbish, or reclaim—based on market value and location. Unlike traditional recycling tools that stop at identification, we provide real-time, geolocation-optimized reintegration workflows to reduce waste and recover value. We’ve secured pilot agreements with recyclers, repair centers, and ITAD providers across the Midwest and are building integrations with ERP systems like NetSuite and Razer. Our data normalization engine can flag low-confidence records, auto-trigger verification lookups, and feed custom ML models trained on facility-level throughput. With over 400 million devices discarded annually and 80% ending up improperly processed, 2DaLoop bridges the data chasm to transform fragmented operations into circular intelligence networks. This is more than software—it’s a shift in how infrastructure treats post-use electronics: not as waste, but as a strategic asset.
Impact
2DaLoop helps transform how the world handles electronic waste—turning discarded devices into traceable, reusable assets instead of landfill liabilities. By digitizing the backend supply chain, we help recyclers, repair centers, and manufacturers unlock hidden value, reduce landfill waste, and meet ESG and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) mandates. Our platform improves reintegration efficiency, increases commodity recovery, and reduces raw material demand. Each successful integration has the potential to divert thousands of devices from waste streams, support circular jobs, and create new revenue for traditionally overlooked facilities. In doing so, 2DaLoop builds more resilient, transparent, and sustainable supply chains from the bottom up.
What I'll do with $5,000
We will use the $5,000 to accelerate deployment of our ERP integration and data ingestion infrastructure at a Michigan-based recycling or repair facility. This includes engineering support for developing a modular plugin that connects to ERP systems such as NetSuite or Razer, as well as implementing secure data normalization workflows that allow for real-time device classification and reintegration recommendations. A portion of the funds will also support onboarding and training for our facility partner, ensuring that local staff can effectively use the system and understand the data insights generated by our platform. Our goal is to digitize at least one site’s operations within the 90-day pilot window, enabling them to reduce manual processes, increase recovery value, and generate a circular operations report aligned with ESG goals. By supporting this infrastructure build-out, the funding helps create a repeatable model we can expand to additional partners across Western Michigan and beyond. It also allows us to demonstrate early traction to state and federal funders, validate model performance with real-world throughput, and generate the impact case studies needed to scale adoption. Ultimately, this $5,000 investment fuels a critical technical milestone that helps transform e-waste from a cost burden into a strategic asset—and proves what’s possible when small facilities take the first step toward intelligent operations.
