About this idea
Cacao commodities have jumped 4x this year to over 10,000 dollars per ton. Central America is experiencing a huge influx of international buyers purchasing anything they can find. Once cash is in hand the buyers disappear and then the access to agricultural tools, knowledge and community begins to disappear. Since Atucun is based in Honduras we can provide vital elements to provide long term wealth generation. .
Impact
Communities that produce cacao live in a poverty range. Some do not have electricity. By creative a knowledge and resource exchange in Comayagua we can provide cacao saplings, tools, education assistance, irrigation, poultry supplies, and provide them access to American markets for their products.
What I'll do with $5,000
Books. tools. irrigation systems, cacao tree saplings, transportation, henhouse building materials, and more.
