About this idea
I own a record store in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Della Soul Records. I provide the community with a place to celebrate music, culture, vinyl, light, love, and energy. I fell in love with vinyl during the process of learning to DJ (DJ Della Soul) and began collecting records in April 2021. I would like to continue building my dream with a financial investment from Start Garden.
Impact
My record store is a community hub, a place to buy vinyl and unique gifts, and a space to enjoy intimate listening sessions with local artists. Della Soul Records is a place to celebrate music, culture, vinyl, light, love, and energy.
What I'll do with $5,000
$3,500 for More Merchandise (new and used vinyl, and products that I currently carry in the store: sweatshirts, t-shirts, magnets, logo stickers, business cards, etc.) $500 Community Kwanzaa Celebration in December 2024. $500 Advertising and Marketing $500 Support for the Mildred Norris Community Garden at Della Soul Records
