Established after school fashion clubs, that focus on fashion related activities that can create safe space where youth feels welcome to express themselves. Activities can include sewing, design brain storming session and guest speakers from the fashion industry. Also community fashion shows. Organizing fashion shows that allow youth to showcase their designs that can boost their confidence and provide a platforms for self expression.

About this idea

I can have a skill developing program teaching technical skills such as sewing patterns making, or textiles designs, this can give trouble youth how they can learn marketable abilities to add to their resume. We are also going to Collab with local local buisnesses can also help provide internship for job placement.

Impact

Developing apparel lines that features messages promoting mental health awareness can stimulate discussion and break the stigma surrounding mental health issues among youths clothing design can incorporate inspirational messages or artwork that encourage dialogue about mental health and inner city violence.

What I'll do with $5,000

The funds would provide for workshops and classes can enable local fashion experts to teach essential skills such as sewing, pattern-making. This would be an educational workshops.
