About this idea
The farm to table dessert experience would highlight the freshest produce with unique flavor combinations as the one pictured, which is a blueberry galette with dollops of honey infused goat cheese. This menu would have seasonal offerings based on the produce offered from the farms that we partner with.
The impact is building relationships with local farmers, which also builds community. We are hoping that it would reduce the amount of food waste from farms, bring awareness to minority owned farms, while also providing our customers with the freshest ingredients and unique flavor combinations in the desserts that they already love from us.
What I'll do with $5,000
$5,000 would help Linda Carol's Kitchen continue to grow our business by investing in a new website. A more professional website will help to increase traffic, bring more awareness to the business and the Farm to Table Dessert Experience. We would use the remaining balance to help with fees associated with being a vendor at a farmers’ market that would again bring more awareness to the business and help us to start building relationships with different farmers in the community. $5000 would also help with the overhead fees of producing our baked goods in a shared kitchen space.
