Since launching in September, we have already amassed 5,000 users and forecast 150,000 users by the end of the current admissions cycle. The pages are connecting college students in an environment with an engagement rate up to 7x that of the actual university’s admissions pages. Students will have drastically improved situations prior to college and form a strong community. Universities will have more access to engage with their students. Overall, the whole student experience from applying to college to being in college will be centralized, safer, and better.
What I'll do with $5,000
MeetYourClass possess potentially the most effective tool to market to incoming college students. Last year, we had only fully tested our monetization strategies at the University of Michigan, but we were still able to sell over $40k worth of tickets for two student-run events, generate over 2,000 downloads for multiple apps, and fill up the entire waitlist for a class. Now that we are poised to own the same advertising potential at over 100 colleges, we want to expand our efforts and take more ownership in of the products/services being marketed. The 5,000 would cover upfront costs for our first in-house planned event and product selection which will lead to the continued traction as MeetYourClass builds community on campus.
