About this idea
My partner and I have teamed up to help out the Grand Rapids area by providing a more flexible and ideal child care service. We are different from the traditional child care services here in town because we offer: -Longer available hours -Weekend Child care -Drop-In child care services by the hour Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, and caring environment for children ages 1-12 years old. We are committed to making every child feel confident to learn and play in our well-balanced, integrated center.
Impact
Our impact to the community has been a phenomenal blessing so far. We believe it takes a village to raise children and we are providing the support and resources to become that village. We know so many mothers that go through post pardon depression and have no where to turn. We are their shoulder to lean on in a very unyielding time. We allow mothers that are at the brink of their breaking point to get their well deserved and needed break. Our Drop-in childcare service does just that, by allowing us to become that nanny on demand to mothers in need. In the mist of our start up we have heard countless stories on how difficult it is parenting with no help, and the community is so grateful that this is now an available service.
What I'll do with $5,000
If we have the honor to win the $5000 we will equip our new center with a transportation vehicle. We have a lot of parents that need help getting their children to and from school. This vehicle will provide parents with that added service to lend a helping hand.
