About this idea
Protein Pints is as simple as it sounds. It's protein ice cream for people with an active lifestyle, or people who just want to eat ice cream without the added guilt.
Impact
People who love ice cream, but do not or rarely eat it, due to its unhealthy nature, will benefit the most from Protein Pints. Imagine someone who loves ice cream. They love the taste, the texture, the way it makes them feel when they're winding down for the night. The only thing they don't love is the guilt that comes from eating it. Protein Pints offers guilt-free ice cream. Consumers can enjoy the health benefits of a protein shake, and experience the joy of eating delicious ice cream. Protein Pints has the potential to be in every ice cream section in the United States.
What I'll do with $5,000
We would use the $5,000 to purchase our packaging, ingredient costs, legal expenses. The packaging and ingredients would allow us to make 400 pints. If we sell the 400 pints, we will have made a profit and can then hypothetically continue operations. This would effectively "get us up-and-running." The legal expenses would be used to solidify our relationship with our partner Chris McKellar. We will purchase 3,000 16oz cold cup pints with Protein Pints branding. This will cost us $2,100. It costs $1,600 for the pint and lid, and we estimate an additional $500 for shipping expenses. Our supplier is Visstun. The cups we are using are fully sustainable which is why it may be a pricier than other options. We estimate that ingredients cost will be $1,600. To make the equivalent of 200 pints for Start Garden, it was $800. This is how we achieved this figure. The remaining $1,300 will be used towards our operating and contract agreement.
