Impact
Every person benefits! Whether you have gluten/egg/dairy/nut restrictions or you know someone that is affected by these, it brings baking to an easier simple level with fresh and healthy options. For the busy person having to prep allergy free food daily, the parent that has a child's friend come over with food allergies, or the person needing to bring a dish to a social gathering, these mixes are quick - easy while staying healthier. These mixes are friendly for the person that just found out they (or someone close) has celiac disease, food allergy or intolerance to still make fresh baked goods. Also veterans to the food allergy that don't have time to always bake, these mixes are the next best to baking from scratch!
What I'll do with $5,000
Currently selling at farmers markets and directly to customers, the demand for my product has grown. While under cottage food law, my reach is restricted from the many potential customers who've been asking from other cities states. I would put the grant money towards working with an allergen free co-packer for production, obtain licenses to be in a commercial kitchen, and to expand my marketing and branding. This will add the ability to expand my web presence to sell online, in retail, and offer shipping, reaching a broader target audience beyond my local community.
